Jupiter

Proper Noun · /ˈdʒuː.pɪ.tə/

Definition
The largest planet in the Solar System, fifth from the Sun, a gas giant with a mass more than twice that of all other planets combined; in Roman religion, the king of the gods, equivalent to the Greek Zeus.
Origin
From Latin Iuppiter (also Iupiter), from Old Latin Iovis pater (father Jove), from Iovis (the sky god, related to Sanskrit Dyaus) + pater (father). The planetary name derives from the Roman god, as do the names of most planets. Jupiter was the chief deity of the Roman pantheon.
