Pedagogical

Adjective · /ˌped.əˈɡɒdʒ.ɪ.kəl/

Definition
Relating to or concerned with pedagogy — the theory, principles, and methods of teaching and education; of or relating to teachers or the teaching profession — pedagogical approaches, pedagogical research, a pedagogical framework. Also used more broadly to mean educational or didactic in purpose.
Origin
From pedagogue (a teacher — from French pédagogue, from Latin paedagogus, from Greek paidagōgos — from pais/paidos, child, and agōgos, leader, from agein, to lead) + -ical (adjective suffix). Pedagogical therefore meaning relating to the leading or guiding of children — the original Greek paidagōgos being a slave whose role was to escort children to and from school and supervise their behaviour, rather than to teach them. The word appearing in English from the early nineteenth century as education theory developed as a discipline.
